Roman Blazhko and Dmytro Savchuk Lectured at the Seminar “Inspections of Businesses Under New Criminal Procedural Code”

Firm’s Senior Associate Roman Blazhko and Associate Dmytro Savchuk lectured on “Tax appeals” and “State control in the area of taxation” at the seminar “Inspections of Businesses under new Criminal Procedural Code ”, organized on 23 April 2013 in Kyiv.

Roman focused on certain aspects of the tax appeal procedure, such as limitation periods established for bringing appeals, pros and cons of passing through administrative and judicial modes of challenging tax orders. He also outlined a set of tax problems related to purchasing from doubtful suppliers.

Dmytro spoke of dealing with the information requests and inspections of the tax authorities. He delivered a bunch of practice-oriented suggestions on how the taxpayer can protect his rights while processing such informational requests and hosting the tax inspections.

Roman Blazhko is an experienced lecturer and author of over 50 publications on taxation.  He is a member of the International Fiscal Association. Dmytro Savchuk actively cooperates with the tax committees of the American Chamber of Commerce and the European Business Association.
