Managing Partner of Lavrynovych & Partners Law Firm Maksym Lavrynovych attended the 9th Yalta Annual Meeting entitled “Ukraine and the World: Addressing Tomorrow’s Challenges Together” organized by the Yalta European Strategy (YES) in partnership with the Viktor Pinchuk Foundation.
On September 13-16, 2012, at the Livadia Palace, Yalta, more than 200 leaders from politics, business and society representing more than 20 countries discussed major global challenges and their impact on Europe, Ukraine and the world. The meeting included the speeches by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych; the Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan; the 66th U.S. Secretary of State (2005-2009), National Security Advisor to the President of the United States (2001-2005) Dr. Condoleezza Rice; the Vice Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Arkadiy Dvorkovych.
The forum’s discussions were focused on the future of the global economy. Special attention was given to the role of innovation and leadership in transforming the economy and society. Other topics of discussion included the future of the European Union, energy issues and the internal and external challenges facing Ukraine.
