The Third Annual IFA Ukraine International Tax Conference was held in Kyiv on 18 November 2010. Lavrynovych & Partners Law Firm was a partner of this conference. IFA Ukraine’s Third Annual International Tax Conference is the only event of this kind in Ukraine for tax professionals and policymakers interested in the latest trends and developments in the area of international taxation practice and regulation in Ukraine.
The Conference Program 2010 featured reports by leading tax lawyers and advisers, who shared their experiences and insights on a number of practical issues relating to the recent tax law reform in Ukraine. In particular, the conference addressed such issues as International Tax Policy of Ukraine: Regulation Problems and Prospects, Corporate Reorganizations and M&A Transactions: International Tax Structuring Considerations, Tax Issues in Cross-Border Trading Operations, and others. Particular attention was paid to international tax policy issues.
The International Fiscal Association (IFA) is a non-governmental international organization dealing with fiscal matters over the globe. The Ukrainian branch of the International Fiscal Association – IFA Ukraine – was established in Kyiv in 2007 and was officially recognized at the 61st IFA Kyoto Congress in September 2007.
Iryna Marushko is Partner with Lavrynovych & Partners Law Firm and a leading expert in international and domestic tax laws, securities laws, currency exchange regulations, privatization and commercial law, banking and finance law. Iryna has been a member of the Board of the Ukrainian branch of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) for two years. She chairs the Banking and Finance Law Committee of the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA). In 2010, Iryna was named by Who is Who Legal: CIS as a leading expert in banking and finance law in Ukraine.
