Valeria is a professional lawyer specialized in labor law. She has successful experience being senior and middle manager in enterprises of various branches of the private sector.Previously she served as Chairman of the JSC “Kyiv plant of electric transport,” prior to that she was HR director of development business in “Continuum” group of companies, HR director of “Shvydko” restaurant chain, worked as a middle manager in multinational companies.

Iryna Marushko, will become an arbitrator of the IV ICC Lex Mercatoria
Iryna Marushko, Executive Partner of Lavrynovych & Partners Law Firm, on November 28, 2015 will become the arbitrator in the preliminary round of the IV International Legal Forum and International Arbitration Moot Court in International Trade Law and International Commercial Arbitration ICC Lex Mercatoria.
The National University “Odessa Law Academy” (the plaintiff) and the Faculty of International Relations of the Belarusian State University (the defendant) will participate in this round.
International Student Competition ICC Lex Mercatoria is aimed to promote international commercial arbitration as an alternative means of resolution of commercial disputes. This year it will be held in Minsk (Belarus), the organizers are: the Faculty of Law of Belarusian State University, ICC International Arbitration Court (Paris), International Arbitration Court at Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Russian National Committee of ICC (ICC Russia) Anchor, Public Association “Belarusian Republican Union of Lawyers” and “YurSpektr” LLC.
Maksym Lavrynovych and Iryna Marushko held a meeting on further cooperation with the representatives of the Government of Macedonia
Managing Partner of “Lavrynovych and Partners” Law Firm Maksym Lavrynovych together with the Executive Partner Iryna Marushko met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia to Ukraine His Excellency Mr. Stole Zmeykoski and General Director of the General Department of bilateral cooperation with countries in America, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Eurasia and the Pacific Region of the MFA of the Republic of Macedonia Mr. Nenad Kolev.
During the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on a joint event, in which all interested clients of the “Lavrynovych & Partners” can participate. During the last few years Ukrainian business has shown great interest in investment-oriented legislation, highly appealing tax system and the possibility of protection of the investments in the Republic of Macedonia. The Republic is one of the positive examples of effective implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU, which the country signed in April 2001. Currently, Macedonia is a new and promising direction for the direct investment, and offers simple conditions of acquiring the citizenship for investors and their families.

Maksym Lavrynovych, Managing Partner of “Lavrynovych & Partners”, met the students of the Faculty of Law and Faculty of International Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv within the “Course of legal skills.” The theme of the lecture was “The selection of the department, practice area of the company and/or law firm.”

This is why it’s that important to help them to shape understanding of what awaits them at the coveted post. Each participant of the open lecture could get important information for themselves, which we hope will help to plan the rapid and successful career.
Maksym Lavrynovych, delivered a lecture within the framework of the School on Private International Law
November 15, 2015, Maksym Lavrynovych, Managing Partner of “Lavrynovych & Partners”, delivered a lecture to law students and young lawyers within the framework of the School on Private International Law of the Students’ League of ALU, held at the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”.
Mr. Lavrynovych spoke on the topic the regulation of international financial flows. During the lecture he revealed peculiarities of opening a bank account, tax payments and making of contracts in other jurisdictions. The speaker commented on the changes that occurred in these procedures within the recent years.

Maksym Lavrynovych took part in the Third annual forum of legal advisers
October 13, 2015 the Third annual forum of legal advisers was held. The Law Firm “Lavrynovych & Partners” became the official partner of this important for the development of the legal community event.
Maksym Lavrynovych, Managing Partner of the Firm and the representatives of companies such as GC “New Products”, LLC “Bayer” Ukraine, FOZZY GROUP and Microsoft Ukraine, shared their approaches to the structuring of the legal department and creation of effective relationships with external legal advisor, within the first panel of the forum: “Management: organization of legal service company.”
During his speech Mr. Lavrynovych spoke on the importance of the leadership and communication during the interaction with the external legal advisor. In particular, he noted that the main factor in the success of such cooperation is trust and willingness to share responsibility between client and consultant, as implementation of the agreements is mutual thing. He also stressed that whilst the several firms are involved in the project, it is extremely important to define the limits of liability and a leader to ensure the effective cooperation of the advisers.

October 3, 2015, the IV school of career growth of the future lawyer was held. It is conducted within the meetings of the Club of future lawyers established as a structural unit of the Ukrainian public organization “Association of Advocates of Ukraine.”
