Firm’s Senior Associate Roman Blazhko and Associate Dmytro Savchuk conducted lecture on “Execution of state control in tax sphere” at the seminar “Business inspections under new Criminal Procedural Code”, organized on 29 March 2013 in Kyiv.

Roman and Dmytro highlighted key points of state control of taxation, such as written requests and inspections of tax authorities, the powers of tax officials, relationships with doubtful counterparties, documentation of inspection results, as well as appeal procedures in case of illegal inspection.

Roman Blazhko is an experienced lecturer and author of over 50 publications about taxation.  He is a member of the International Fiscal Association. Dmytro Savchuk actively cooperates with the tax committees of the American Chamber of Commerce and the European Business Association.

Тhe Kyiv municipal orphanage «Berizka» is a special medical institution for orphans with injuries of nervous system, as well as children born by mothers living with AIDS, and children living with AIDS, aged 0 to 5 years.

World-known French clothing brand Petit Bateau selected Lavrynovych & Partners as a legal adviser, providing complex legal support for the opening of Petit Bateau first clothing shop in Ukraine. The team working on this project is led by Partner Iryna Marushko.

Petit Bateau is a textiles manufacturer with 120-year history, and one of the few French children’s clothing brands which are known all over the world. The company has nearly 400 stores worldwide and employs over 4,000 people, with half of them working in France.

The round-table «Business taxation and new trends in relations with tax authorities», organized by the legal periodical«Yuridicheskaya gazeta» was held in Press-centre Dilo on March 24, 2009.

Managing Partner of Lavrynovych & Partners Law Firm Maksym Lavrynovych participated in the international summit Inside Ukraine: Exploring the country’s role in European energy security, that was held in Vienna, Austria, on 19 March 2013. The summit was organized by The Economist Conferences jointly with Foundation for Effective Governance.

The event brought together European policy-makers, industry leaders, business executives, politicians and independent commentators. The participants of the summit discussed trends in energy production and consumption in Europe, prospects for meaningful reforms in Ukraine’s energy sector, Ukraine’s policy priorities for 2013 and what they mean for potential and existing investors.

March 12, 2013 Lavrynovych & Partners Law Firm in partnership with  Forbes Ukraine gathered owners and top-managers of Ukrainian banks at the “Banking M&A: guide for owner” Conference to discuss mergers and acquisitions in the banking sector of Ukraine.

Maksym Lavrynovych, the Firm’s Managing Partner, moderated the first panel dedicated to the prospects of the Ukrainian banking market, as well as to M&A practice lessons.

During the discussion top-managers of the major banks shared their best practice on how to integrate acquired assets, including with regard to financial, tax and legal implications.

The Firm’s Senior Associate Anna Pushkariova opened the second panel, focused on the risks and limitations relevant to banking M&A transactions in Ukraine. Anna outlined the regulatory aspects of transactions with banks’ shares and possible issues  for the buyer, and gave practical advice on how to minimize the risks when planning and performing such transactions.
