Lavrynovych & Partners Successfully Represents the Interests of Azovmash Joint Stock Company in the Case on Protection of Business Reputation

On November 8, Lavrynovych & Partners Law Firm represented the interests of Azovmash OJSC at the Commercial Court of Kyiv in the hearing of a case regarding a claim filed against a print publication, seeking to protect business reputation, declare the disseminated information to be inaccurate and refute such information.

Their successful work resulted in the approval by the Commercial Court of Kyiv of an amicable agreement between the parties, whereby the newspaper’s editorial office has declared the previously published information to be inaccurate, made its apologies to Azovmash OJSC for the publication in question and undertook to publish the relevant refutation.

Support of the project was provided by Artur Kiyan, an associate of Lavrynovych & Partners Law Firm, under the supervision of Stanislav Skrypnyck, a Partner of the firm.

Azovmash is a world-known producer of metallurgical and mining equipment and hoisting-and-conveying machines, as well as the leader of Ukraine’s railcar building industry. In eight months of 2011, Azovmash has produced over 10,000 freight cars, and its total volume of produce sold since the beginning of the year is more than 6.1 billion Hryvnias, which is more than the entire sales volume in 2010.
